Financial Reporting Manager

Milton Keynes (Hybrid) | Up to £90,000 + Benefits

Great decisions start with great insight - and this business wants someone who can turn complex data into the stories that drive them.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-known, fast-paced consumer brand with a huge digital footprint and a genuine appetite for modern reporting and analytics. Their finance function is on a mission to move away from spreadsheet-heavy reporting and towards intuitive, self-service dashboards; they need a Reporting Finance Manager to lead that transformation.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially sharp finance professional who loves getting into the detail of performance data, but who can also step back and tell the bigger story to senior stakeholders. You'll sit right at the intersection of Finance, Commercial and Business Intelligence, owning the reporting and forecasting that shapes how leadership understands the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading weekly, period-end and trading performance reporting across the business
  • Owning the sales budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with stakeholders to keep forecasts sharp and commercially relevant
  • Producing insight-led performance packs covering sales, trade, traffic and key commercial KPIs
  • Building and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards that give the business real self-service visibility
  • Using SQL to extract, interrogate and analyse large datasets to support reporting and insight generation
  • Driving the shift from static, spreadsheet-led reporting to dynamic, dashboard-driven performance management
  • Analysing campaign and promotional activity, evaluating ROI and commercial impact
  • Supporting interim and full-year reporting with high-quality analysis and commentary
  • Spotting trends, risks and opportunities, and turning them into clear recommendations
  • Acting as the go-to person for sales reporting and performance queries across the business
  • Leading, coaching and developing a Reporting Finance Analyst as they build their BI and dashboarding skills
  • Championing automation, continuous improvement and the smart use of emerging AI tools in reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
