Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are supporting a large, complex organisation in Birmingham with the recruitment of a Financial Reporting Manager on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading provider of facilities management and maintenance services across the UK.
Your new role
Reporting into an excellent Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the business meets all of its statutory, regulatory and shareholder financial reporting obligations.
Key duties:
- Support with the production of statutory accounts, shareholder reporting and external audits
- Production of rolling cashflow forecasts
- Manage relationships with banking partners and the central Treasury function
- Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting, ensuring assets are accurately recorded in line with IFRS
- Management of balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and CIS reporting
- Lead the Purchase to Pay (P2P) team, developing staff whilst improving efficiencies and service delivery
- Provide expert financial guidance whilst driving improvements in processes, controls and reporting

What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3-4 years' post-qualification experience in either financial reporting or financial control (suitable for a 2nd or 3rd time mover from practice)
- Excellent technical knowledge of statutory accounts, audit, treasury and financial governance
- Proven track record in large business environments, preferably within the facilities management/construction space
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and the ability to communicate complex financial information
- Background managing or developing a finance team with a good understanding of P2P processes
- Strong Excel skills as well as experience with SAP or similar ERP systems

In return, you will receive a generous remuneration package which includes a basic salary of up to £72,000 per annum together with a car/car allowance and bonus of up to 20%. Additional benefits include 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), matched pension up to 6%, private medical cover and life assurance.
