Financial Reporting Senior Executive

Location: Oldbury (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: Up to £46,000 + excellent benefits

The Opportunity

An established and growing professional services firm is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Senior Executive to join its collaborative finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant looking to move into a role that offers exposure to a broad portfolio of clients, technical financial reporting work and genuine opportunities for progression.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting services, supporting clients through statutory reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with the latest accounting standards.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements.
  • Supporting clients with financial reporting and technical accounting matters.
  • Working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Liaising directly with clients and building strong professional relationships.
  • Assisting with technical research and the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team where appropriate.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or are newly qualified).
  • A background in external audit, gained within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • A proactive approach and a desire to continue developing professionally.
