Manager – Core Reporting (Tax) – Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB)
About the Role
At PwC, our professionals in tax services provide guidance on tax planning, compliance, and strategy to help businesses navigate complexities. In Tax Accounting Services, you’ll assist with:
- Preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
The Opportunity as a Level Manager involves:
- Partnering with problem-solving teams to address complex business challenges
- Delivering strategic and operational solutions across project executions
Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Lead a variety of engagements including compilations, reviews, and tax compliance work
- Client Advisory & Collaboration
- Provide tax planning, compliance, accounting, and general business advice with technical expertise
- Review personal and corporate tax returns, financial statements, and regulatory correspondence
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships while offering trusted business guidance
- Team Leadership & Growth
- Mentor juniors, Senior Associates, and Associates, fostering knowledge exchange and professional development
- Foster a positive, high-morale team environment and interpersonal relationships
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and timely billing
- Engagement Economics & Stakeholder Communication
- Regularly update Partners on progress
- Maintain engagement economics frameworks
- Business Development & Community Engagement
- Identify opportunities for expanded services
- Engage with local networks to deepen relationships

What You’ll Bring
Professional Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a professional accounting firm
- Fluency in English + French (required for collaboration with diverse stakeholders)
- Managed a portfolio of varied clients across industries
- Point of contact for both internal and external clients
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Canadian CPA designation or equivalent
- In-depth understanding of:
- Canadian corporate and personal income tax laws
- ASPE accounting standards
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office
- CCH Ifirm (tax software)

- Leadership:
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams
- Analytical Thinking with a creative, client-centric approach
- Provide confident, trusted advice with clear alternatives and research-backed conclusions
