Financial Planning Administrator

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Contract: Permanent

As a Financial Planning Administrator, you will be at the heart of our client service operation, providing vital support to both clients and the financial planning team. You'll help coordinate client meetings, prepare documentation, process applications, and act as a point of contact for queries from clients and providers. Your attention to detail will help ensure records are accurate, business is processed efficiently, and clients receive a high standard of service throughout their relationship with the company.

Verlingue Financial Planning provide guidance and advice across all areas of financial planning.

The Role

  • Preparing and managing client documentation for both new business and ongoing servicing requirements
  • Processing new business and tracking applications to ensure completion in a timely manner
  • Liaising with providers and other third parties to support the delivery of financial planning services
  • Maintaining accurate client records and workflow systems in line with regulatory and company requirements
  • Supporting the wider financial planning team to deliver an efficient and high-quality client experience
  • Ensuring all administration activities are completed accurately, compliantly and within agreed service standards

What We're Looking For

  • Working towards professional qualifications (either the Certificate in Financial Services or the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning)
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role
  • Experience working within Financial Services, Pensions or Wealth Management
  • Experience using CRM systems, particularly Intelligent Office
  • Knowledge of financial products and services
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven ability to engage and develop effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues and teams
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate with a diverse group of people
  • High levels of energy, motivation, and initiative – a self-starter
  • Effective at working as part of a cohesive team
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Ability to support and coach junior members of the team where required
