Mark Barclay Wealth Management is a Senior Partner Practice of St. James's Place Wealth Management, one of the leading wealth management organizations in the UK. The practice focuses on building long-term, trusted relationships with private clients and businesses, offering a personal service tailored to individual financial needs and aspirations. Since its beginnings with St. James's Place in Oxford in 2010 and its move to Summertown in 2017, the team has continued to grow in order to deliver high-quality, integrity-driven advice and solutions. Through St. James's Place, the practice provides a distinctive approach to investment management and retirement planning, using carefully selected external fund managers supported by independent consultants. The Partner Practice is an Appointed Representative of St. James's Place Wealth Management plc, which is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Role Description

The Financial Services Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Oxford Area. This role supports the adviser and the wider team in delivering an efficient and high-quality client experience, including preparing documentation, maintaining accurate client records, and some occasional appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Handling client enquiries
  • Processing applications and policy changes
  • Coordinating with providers
  • Ensuring administrative tasks are completed in line with regulatory standards
  • Assisting in compiling reports
  • Tracking workflows
  • Supporting client communication activities as needed

This position requires close collaboration with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and consistent, professional service to all clients.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Financial Services and familiarity with wealth management or related sectors
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong Customer Service skills and a client-focused mindset
  • Relevant experience in financial administration, banking, or professional services is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are important
  • Comfort with using office software, CRM systems, and maintaining accurate records is advantageous
