Project Manager
Rate: £626 per day, inside IR35
Working arrangement: Remote
Sector: Financial Services
Contract length: 3 months
Clearance: BPSS
Your new company
You will join a programme where delivery is mainly performed by a key supplier. The position includes significant supplier management responsibilities and close collaboration with client and internal stakeholders.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for defining the delivery approach, facilitating the work and ensuring the satisfactory completion of a medium-scale project or workstream within a wider programme.
You will provide effective leadership to the project team, using established corporate project management methods and tools. You will manage change control and project risks, ensuring that delivery remains aligned with relevant governance frameworks and business priorities.
You will communicate regularly with stakeholders and ensure that deliverables meet the agreed standards, budgets and timelines. You will also make sure that project and product quality reviews take place according to the required schedule and procedures.
The role involves monitoring performance measures and implementing preventive or corrective action when required. Delivery is mainly performed by a key supplier, making effective supplier management an important part of the position.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure consistent application of Atos/Account project management standards and practices.
- Ensure the approved project scope is delivered to the required time, cost and quality.
- Work with other project managers to manage workstreams and their interdependencies.
- Identify and resolve delivery issues, escalating them appropriately when required.
- Manage and coordinate project resources.
- Conduct capacity planning to ensure appropriate levels of resources are planned and available.
- Manage key client and Atos stakeholder relationships.
- Maintain effective and appropriate engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Own RAID items, including their identification, management and escalation to programme level.
- Manage all project changes through the formal change control process.
- Manage team financial forecasting to support the monthly finance rally process.
- Manage the relevant WBS code.
- Maintain effective, accurate and up-to-date project reporting.
- Represent the project at customer project board meetings.
- Coordinate migration delivery activities, dependencies, risks and readiness through to successful implementation.
Essential skills and experience

- Proven project management experience, including the planning, monitoring and control of projects.
- Proven experience delivering migration projects or migration workstreams.
- Experience coordinating migration plans, dependencies, risks, readiness and implementation activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team involving internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to influence and challenge direct reports to support effective financial and planning management.
- The ability to ensure that time, cost and quality targets are achieved.
- Supplier management experience.
- Experience working within formal governance and change control processes.
- Banking, Insurance or Financial Services Background
