Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a leading independent UK accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a Financial Services Tax Manager into its growing specialist tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional with experience in investment funds and financial services taxation to join a highly regarded practice that works with a broad range of private and listed funds, asset managers, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals.

The Opportunity

You will join a collaborative and technically strong team, supporting clients with both compliance and advisory matters across the investment funds sector. The role offers genuine scope for progression and exposure to a varied client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing a portfolio of investment fund tax compliance engagements, including partnership and corporate tax filings
  • Advising clients on investment fund structuring, new fund launches and the remuneration of fund managers
  • Working alongside specialist teams across corporate tax, international tax, transfer pricing, VAT and other advisory disciplines
  • Supporting audit teams on the tax and regulatory requirements affecting listed and regulated funds
  • Identifying opportunities to develop and grow specialist financial services tax services
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Coaching and supporting junior members of the team

About You

We are keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Experience within financial services tax, investment funds tax or a related specialist tax area
  • Strong knowledge of investment fund, partnership and corporate tax compliance
  • A keen interest in private funds and wider financial services taxation
  • A professional qualification such as CA, ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong technical capabilities combined with a commercial mindset
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or managing junior team members
