The opportunity
The international tax landscape is evolving rapidly, creating strong demand for specialist tax advisory expertise.
Our Financial Services International Tax & Transaction Services (FS ITTS) team is growing, and we’re looking for a Tax Manager to join us. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients, from inbound businesses to large multinationals, advising on international tax matters across Banking, Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex advisory and M&A-related projects while developing your technical, commercial and leadership capabilities.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of international tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, commercial approach
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional client service
- Identify and develop opportunities with existing and prospective clients
- Build strong internal and external networks across the financial services market
- Manage multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines and budgets
- Coach and develop junior colleagues through delegation, feedback and on-the-job training
- Take ownership of high-quality client delivery and contribute to the growth of the FS ITTS team

Skills and attributes for success
You’ll bring:
- Strong international tax advisory expertise
- Experience working with financial services clients
- Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities
- A proactive, collaborative and enthusiastic approach
- Experience coaching and developing junior team members
A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, CTA or a legal qualification, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
What we look for
You’ll proactively maintain your technical knowledge of UK and international tax developments. Your work may include:
- Expansion into new markets
- Pre- and post-merger reorganisations
- Organisational structure and business model redesign
- Capital structure and financing optimisation
- Managing risks arising from changes in global tax legislation, including BEPS
- Engagement and negotiation with tax authorities
