About the role

The Banking and Capital Markets team in our FS Tax practice (BCM) advises a diverse range of institutions, from major banks, brokerage houses, fintech and digital asset clients. Based in London, the team is a key part of PwC’s global network, supporting both UK and international clients. Our services span tax advisory, deals, audit, and compliance, with sector specialists offering deep expertise. The industry is undergoing significant transformation, making it a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

We are looking to recruit into a new role which will enable us to better address our clients’ need to work across different tax disciplines and across other lines of service within PwC. The candidate will be primarily responsible for helping to drive client service and develop business for our priority client accounts.

What your days will look like:

  • Delivering tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base, offering proactive, forward-thinking advice and exceptional client support
  • Providing tax specialist support to our market leading transaction services and assurance practices. Providing support on tax due diligence, structuring, corporate reorganisations and statutory audits
  • Maintaining expertise in UK and global tax legislation, applying complex rules to provide practical guidance for banking, capital markets, FinTech and broader financial services clients to guide our clients through change
  • Using innovation and transformation to evolve how we work with clients and deliver an outstanding client experience as our diverse client base grows and evolves
  • Leading and mentoring tax professionals, ensuring quality, compliance, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing team culture
  • Managing risk and engagement economics, adhering to PwC’s ethical standards while overseeing budgeting, billing, and compliance processes

This role is for you if:

  • You have post-qualification tax experience, and a good understanding of UK tax technical and tax accounting concepts as well as experience in the financial services sector
  • You have a proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale, multi-territory professional services engagements, especially within a tax context
  • You can demonstrate experience of managing similar professional services programs
  • You have strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • You can demonstrate the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
  • You have experience in mentoring and developing more junior team members
