Manager - Technology Risk, Channel 2 & TIDE Innovation

Technology is at the heart of most modern organisations. As well as opening a world of opportunities, technology exposes organisations to a variety of risks and expectations around trust, control, innovation and responsible adoption of emerging technology. We help our Financial Services clients identify, manage and transform these risks, protecting their stakeholders while enabling new technology-led opportunities. As a Manager within our Technology Risk team, you will combine Channel 2 delivery discipline with TIDE innovation capability, helping clients manage their technology risks while shaping practical, scalable and commercially relevant innovation-led solutions. Working with some of the world’s most prestigious Financial Services organisations, you will be an integral part of our Technology Risk team, part of Assurance Advisory within EY UK.

The opportunity

As a Manager, you will be an influential member of our FS Technology Risk team and will have the opportunity to work across IT Assurance, Tech Resilience, internal audit engagements as well as Emerging Technology Risk including AI, Trust in Robotics Process Automation and FS controls-related work. Alongside this, you will support TIDE innovation activity by shaping propositions, enabling AI adoption, managing innovation portfolios and translating early-stage ideas into structured, client-facing programmes that address evolving business, technology and regulatory needs.

We are a market leader across Big 4 with major audit wins across Financial Services clients and a continued focus on innovation and automation. We have a clear focus on delivering high-quality, high-profile, multi-discipline and multi-country projects, helping clients solve complex IT, data and emerging technology issues with a clear focus on quality. This role sits at the intersection of assurance delivery, innovation strategy, AI enablement and client transformation, working across Technology Risk, TIDE, Assurance colleagues, account teams and technical specialists.

Your key responsibilities

An important part of your role will be to establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships while delivering exceptional client service, quality and delivery. You will manage engagements to agreed time and cost budgets, while also helping shape innovation-led transformation initiatives that convert market challenges into practical, scalable and commercially aligned client solutions. The range of engagements involved creates a flexible and dynamic team environment, providing opportunities for personal growth and development across audit, advisory, consulting and innovation domains.

  • Manage and deliver Technology Risk engagements, including ITGC, IT automated controls, IT Internal Audit, regulatory reviews, regulatory remediation, data and technology control reviews and third-party controls reporting.
  • Shape, package and commercialise TIDE innovation propositions that respond to client priorities, market trends, regulatory change and EY strategic growth themes.
  • Translate market challenges into structured client engagements, working with account teams, partners, directors, technical specialists and delivery teams to define clear value propositions.
  • Design and facilitate client workshops, including ideation, use case development, AI maturity, market insight, discovery, prioritisation, training and upskilling sessions.
  • Lead the prioritisation and orchestration of early-stage and in-flight innovation initiatives, managing dependencies, ambiguity, risks, budgets and cross-functional delivery.
  • Maintain clear portfolio visibility across innovation initiatives, pipeline status, delivery risk, priorities and recommendations for sponsoring partners, directors and senior leadership forums.
  • Support AI enablement and workflow transformation by helping clients improve literacy, assess maturity, identify practical use cases and explore technology options through market review, pilots and proof-of-concept activity.
  • Coach, counsel and develop junior team members, helping create a positive, inclusive, learning-focused and high-performance team culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
