Summary
Do you have experience of providing financial controls and systems capability expertise within a BAU finance operations role within a regulated financial services organisation?
This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading financial services organisation, in operating financial controls and reviewing and implementing control frameworks to meet Provision 29. The role will also support the capability development for Oracle and Power Apps within the team and associated tools for organising and managing the delivery backlog.
The project needs a consultant who has:
- strong financial controls and control framework experience in Provision 29, SOX or similar controls environments
- financial services and finance operations experience
- experience in capability development for the team so they can confidently deliver BAU and change in parallel e.g. tooling, structured backlog management

Key Services
The key services that you will be asked to provide are:
- deliver BAU and in-flight change safely, whilst maintaining a strong control framework and transforming core business processes to improve efficiency
- support the implementation of new financial control frameworks, including Provision 29
- operate and maintain financial controls within the finance environment
- build Oracle and Power Apps capability within the existing team
- develop tools and processes for organising, prioritising and managing the delivery backlog, including JIRA
- support effective BAU and change delivery across accounting systems and data activities
- maintain appropriate control, reporting and governance processes across the area
Mandatory Requirements
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:
- significant financial controls and control framework experience (SOX, Provision 29 or similar controls)
- experience of finance operational processes and supporting systems
- ability to build systems capability within teams and bring structure to tooling and backlog management
- 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry
- proven track record of building relationships and effectively managing stakeholders
- extensive experience of leading change alongside the delivery of BAU activities

Optional Requirements
It will also be advantageous if you have:
- experience of Oracle within a finance environment
- exposure to Power Apps capability development
- experience of JIRA or comparable backlog management tools
