Contract Finance Systems Test Lead (ERP/UAT)
London (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)
£450/day, Outside IR35
4-6 months duration
We're looking for a FS Test Lead on behalf of a multi-site hospitality group, mid-way through a finance transformation implementing a new cloud finance system across their international operations. You'll own end-to-end testing and UAT through to Go-Live.
This role goes beyond running test scripts. The systems integrator covers the Sage environment, but nobody currently owns the finance processes end-to-end across the wider system landscape.
What you'll own as a FS Test Lead:
- The end-to-end testing and UAT plan, schedule and ownership
- Test scenarios covering full finance processes across Sage, upstream systems and the integrations, not individual system functions
- UAT delivery, coordinating the finance testers across each region
- Validating that data flows, mappings and reconciliations produce the correct accounting outcomes
- Managing defects through to fix, retest and regression
- Reporting on progress, risk and Go-Live readiness, plus the switchover and post go-live support period

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Sage Intacct knowledge and experience
- Comfortable owning a workstream rather than working to someone else's plan, and confident coordinating across finance teams, the systems integrator and third-party vendors
- Professional polish. You'll be working directly with teams across multiple regions
