Salary: £230 - £240 per day

We are looking for a Finishing Manager to join a new build student accommodation project in Nottingham City Centre. This role requires a highly organised professional to oversee all finishing and snagging activities, ensuring the highest standards are met in line with project specifications and deadlines.
Job Duties
- Manage and coordinate all finishing and snagging operations on site to ensure timely completion and compliance with quality standards.
- Lead site inspections and quality assurance checks, identifying and resolving defects or issues promptly.
- Organise and supervise subcontractors and finishing teams, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of snagging progress and prepare detailed reports for project management.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to communicate progress and address concerns.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and manage resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Implement continuous improvement measures to enhance finishing processes and quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- Certification in First Aid at Work.
- Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Experience
- Proven experience in a finishing management role within the construction industry, ideally on new build projects.
- Demonstrable experience of managing snagging and finishing teams.
- Experience working on residential or student accommodation developments is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of finishing and snagging processes and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders clearly and professionally.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to construction sites.
- Proficient in record keeping and reporting to support project management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Further certifications in construction management or quality assurance are desirable.
- Experience with digital snagging tools or software.
Working Conditions
- Based primarily on-site in Nottingham City Centre, with occasional travel to other project locations as required.
- Full-time hours, typically Monday to Friday, with potential for additional hours to meet project deadlines.
- Work involves being outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires adherence to strict health and safety standards.
- Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory at all times on site.
