Role: Print Finishing Operative
As a print finishing operative, you will play a crucial role in making printed materials into professional products, utilizing precision cutting, laminating, binding, folding techniques as well as other finishing skills. You will ensure that the customers receive a quality finished product. Your main role will be to produce quality books using our saddles stitching equipment.

Shift:
12pm - 8pm
Salary:
Starting wage ranging from 25-27K depending on experience
Requirements
- Previous experience operating saddle stitch machines, specifically the Duplo I-Saddle and Horizon models preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering finished products of the highest quality
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues during the finishing process
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities throughout the working day
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
- Good physical condition and ability to lift 20kg
Responsibilities
- Execute various finishing processes such as cutting, binding, laminating, and folding to complete printed product
- Conduct thorough quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet high standards and customer expectations
- Operate and maintain finishing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance
- Manage workflow efficiently to meet production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Handle and organize printed materials, preparing them for finishing processes
- Set up saddle stitch machines according to job specifications, including adjusting settings for paper size, fold types, and trim sizes
- Load paper and other materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment and registration
- Monitor machine operations during production runs to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment, such as jams or misfeeds
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition
- Coordinate with team leaders to prioritize jobs and meet production deadlines
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
