About the Role
The main focus will be an AI Cost and Usage Data Product, bringing together provider billing and usage data to understand how AI is being consumed, where costs sit and how efficiently it is being used.
What You Will Be Working On
- Building Python and SQL pipelines to ingest AI provider, cloud, and data-platform billing and usage data.
- Measuring AI usage and token consumption, attributing costs to applications, teams, and business areas.
- Reconciling usage against invoices and supporting cost reporting, forecasting, and showback.
- Identifying optimization opportunities across AI services, Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.
- Working closely with engineering, finance, and platform teams to turn the data into practical decisions.

Requirements
- Strong hands-on data engineering experience, particularly Python, SQL, data modelling, and reliable production pipelines.
- Experience with cloud cost and usage data, FinOps, cost allocation, and reconciliation.
- Practical knowledge of Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.
- The ability to own technical delivery and work confidently with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with generative AI usage, token-based billing, or AI cost optimization would be particularly valuable, as would experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
