Join UK Safety Management as a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer 🚨
UK Safety Management is looking for a reliable, motivated and technically minded Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer to join our growing team.
You’ll be out on the road visiting a variety of client sites, servicing and inspecting fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, carrying out minor remedial works and fault-finding, and ensuring systems remain safe, compliant and operational.
What Will You Do?
- Servicing and inspections of fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839.
- Servicing and inspections of emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS 5266-1.
- Minor installation and remedial works, including adding devices and replacing panels.
- Replacement of emergency lighting fittings safely and correctly.
- Fault-finding and non-critical repairs.
- Accurate recording of inspection and testing results.
- Completion of reports and certification.
- Communicating faults, issues and recommendations clearly to customers.
Your daily schedule, routing and appointments are managed by our dedicated office team, so you can focus on delivering a high standard of work rather than planning your own day.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Comfortable driving and travelling between different client sites.
- Happy working independently across a variety of client sites.
- Technically minded with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Confident carrying out servicing, testing and fault-finding.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Confident communicating with customers.
- Comfortable working across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
- Organised and accurate when completing reports and certification.
- Keen to develop their skills within the fire and electrical safety industry.

Previous experience in fire alarms and emergency lighting is desirable, but we’re open to training the right candidate.
