Site-Based Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Central London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Site-Based Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established fire and security business supporting site in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem solving, and taking ownership of a site while working with industry-leading fire detection and life safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing.
- Diagnose faults and complete minor repairs on fire alarm systems.
- Attend emergency callouts and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records, worksheets, and compliance documentation.
- Build strong relationships with the on-site client.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance.
- Attend training and stay up to date with industry standards and technology.
- Escalate critical issues and provide practical solutions when required.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of systems such as Notifier, Kentec, Advanced, Simplex, Voice Alarm, Gas Suppression, and HSSD would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to compliance and life-safety standards.
