Role Description
The Fire and Security Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting fire alarm and electronic security systems. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Configuring equipment
- Performing system tests
- Conducting fault diagnosis
- Completing routine and reactive maintenance in line with relevant standards and regulations
The engineer will collaborate with internal teams and clients to plan work, document activities, and provide clear technical guidance. The role also involves:
- Maintaining accurate records
- Producing reports
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Skills in Application Security and Security Engineering to ensure systems and configurations are robust and fit for purpose
- Relevant experience in fire alarm maintenance, ideally with familiarity with BAFE standards or equivalent
- Practical knowledge of electronic security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) and associated electrical work and testing
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulations, with strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Effective communication skills, the ability to work independently in a remote setting, and a strong focus on safety and compliance

A relevant technical qualification (e.g., electrical engineering, fire and security engineering, or equivalent vocational certification) is preferred.
