This is a full-time, on-site Fire and Security Engineer role based in Liverpool. The engineer will install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems in residential and commercial environments. Daily tasks include fault-finding, performing routine testing and inspections, completing accurate documentation for compliance, and responding to reactive call-outs as required. The role involves working closely with clients and site teams to plan work, ensure systems meet regulatory standards, and deliver projects with minimal disruption. The engineer will also support upgrades, system improvements, and adherence to health and safety procedures while representing the company in a professional manner.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in security engineering, with experience designing, installing, and maintaining fire and security systems.
- Knowledge of information security principles to ensure data handling and system documentation are managed securely.
- Understanding of network security and cybersecurity concepts as they relate to IP-based CCTV, access control, and connected fire and security systems.
- Awareness of application security considerations for configuration tools, monitoring platforms, and integrated security software.
- Relevant industry certification or training (e.g., FIA courses, fire alarm and intruder alarm qualifications, manufacturer product training).
- Proficiency in fault diagnosis, testing, and inspection of fire alarm, CCTV, intruder, and access control systems, with familiarity with current standards and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites in and around Liverpool as required.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and commitment to safe working practices.
- Prior experience in fire and security engineering or a related technical field; experience in occupied or live environments is an advantage.
