We're Hiring: Fire Damper Testing Engineers (2 Positions)

With extensive industry experience, we pride ourselves on delivering reliable services, high-quality workmanship, and clear, professional reporting.

We specialise in fire damper testing, remedial works, and fire safety inspections, helping protect buildings and their occupants by ensuring essential fire safety systems operate as intended.

We are looking for two motivated and reliable Fire Damper Testing Engineers to join our growing team. Whether you are an experienced engineer or someone looking to develop their skills within the industry, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Fire Damper Testing Engineer, you will travel to clients' sites across the UK, carrying out inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire dampers within commercial buildings. You will play an important role in helping our clients meet their fire safety compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire damper inspections and operational drop testing.
  • Identify and report faults, damage, obstructions, and access issues.
  • Complete minor remedial works where trained and competent to do so.
  • Take photographic evidence and maintain accurate records of all inspections.
  • Produce clear and detailed reports for clients.
  • Follow relevant health and safety procedures and industry guidance.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work away from home.
  • Ability to work at height and in confined or restricted access areas, where required, subject to appropriate training and safety controls.
  • Previous experience in fire damper testing, ventilation, building services, or a similar compliance role would be an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate.
