About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire Damper Testing Engineer to join our busy fire compliance team. Due to newly secured contracts, we are looking for a qualified professional who can hit the ground running with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct routine drop testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire dampers across various commercial and public sector sites.
- Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with BS 9999, BESA DW145, and current fire safety legislation.
- Maintenance & Repair: Clean, lubricate, and reset fire dampers, identifying any faults, damages, or necessary remedial works.
- Reporting: Generate accurate, detailed digital reports including photographic evidence of the damper before, during, and after testing.
- Client Liaison: Act as a professional representative of Cleanair UK Ltd while on-site, communicating effectively with site managers and clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in fire damper testing and inspection (Essential).
- Location: Must be based in or around the Birmingham area.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of fire safety compliance and relevant industry standards.
- Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence (Essential).
- Certifications: A valid CSCS card, IPAF, and PASMA are highly advantageous.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and basic IT skills for using reporting software on a tablet/smartphone.
