Decrobond Ltd is a design-led manufacturer of high-quality timber fire doors and bespoke washroom solutions for commercial interiors and fit-out projects. We combine technical performance with design, delivering compliant, durable and visually appealing products to demanding construction programmes.
With extensive expertise in post-forming, bonding and fabrication, our skilled production team uses efficient modern processes to deliver quality products quickly and reliably. We work closely with contractors, designers and specifiers, supporting projects with technical advice, CAD details and 3D visuals.
Role Description
The Fire Door Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Normanton, responsible for preparing accurate estimates and quotations for timber fire door packages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Carrying out quantity take-offs
- Assessing fire and performance requirements
- Liaising with contractors and designers to clarify project details

- Working with production and procurement to confirm material costs and lead times
- Updating quotations as projects develop
- Maintaining accurate records
The Estimator will also contribute to improving pricing processes and ensuring customer enquiries are handled promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and building regulations related to fire doors.
- Knowledge of construction estimating practices, preferably within joinery, door manufacturing, or commercial fit-out environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CAD drawings; experience with estimating or ERP software is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear, structured quotations and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of fire compliance, safety standards, and relevant industry guidance for timber fire doors is beneficial.
- Previous experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or a related technical role; background in construction, architecture, or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Relevant vocational training or a qualification in construction, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential when supported by suitable experience.
