Role Description
The Fire Door Remedials role is a full-time, on-site position based in Glasgow. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and adjusting fire doors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Assessing door sets and hardware
- Carrying out remedial work such as replacing seals, hinges, and closers
- Documenting work completed for compliance records
The role also requires:
- Collaborating with site managers and other trades
- Following health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
The successful candidate will be expected to work efficiently, meet project deadlines, and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in joinery, carpentry, or a closely related trade, with proven skills in door installation and repair.
- Knowledge of fire door regulations, building standards, and basic construction site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and compliance reports.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a methodical approach to remedial work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a site team.
- Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeships in joinery/carpentry; additional fire door inspection or certification training is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different sites in and around Glasgow if required.
