Job Title: Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Engineer
Location: Essex (Regional Patch)
Salary: £38,000 basic + Overtime & Call-Out (OTE up to £55,000+)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer based in Essex to carry out routine servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and small remedial works across commercial and residential sites.
This role offers a competitive basic salary of £38,000, with plenty of overtime and on-call availability allowing realistic earnings of £50,000 – £55,000+ per annum.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose faults, conduct testing, and complete remedial repairs in accordance with BS 5839 standards.
- Complete small works, device replacements, and commissioning where required.
- Ensure accurate reporting, asset tracking, and compliance sign-off via digital work-order tablets.
- Participate in an on-call rota (with standby allowance and enhanced call-out rates).

Requirements
- FIA Qualifications (Units 1, 4, 5 or equivalent modular certifications).
- Demonstrable experience servicing and maintaining addressable and conventional fire alarm systems (e.g., Advanced, Morley, Kentec, C-TEC).
- Solid understanding of British Standards (BS 5839-1).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
