Fire Engineer Role
Fire Engineer role within a broad and multi-disciplined technical team. Working in alignment with the Forensic Services of the business and the wider fire safety sector based in EMEA, with offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow and offers hybrid working. The position focuses on leading and assisting in the development of the fire specific team as well as the fire engineering delivery across complex built environment projects, including external wall fire risk assessments and remediation programmes in the expert arena. Suitable for experienced candidates progressing toward or holding chartership, this role combines project leadership, client advisory, and team development within a multidisciplinary environment.
This is an opportunity to build a successful practice within a global service provider. The work of the fire engineer touches multiple other disciplines across the technical team, as well as other teams such as Quantum, Delay and Insurance.
The successful candidate will assist in leading technical delivery across fire safety projects, ensuring compliance and quality standards. The role includes supporting client relationships.

- Lead fire engineering and EWS assessments
- Manage compliance and technical outputs
- Undertake site inspections and advisory work
- Mentor the wider team
- Prepare and review technical reports
- Cross collaboration with all of company disciplines
Skills & Experience Required
You will have strong consultancy experience within fire safety and knowledge of UK legislation. Experience leading projects and supporting team development is important.
- Experience in fire engineering consultancy
- Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
- Degree in engineering or related field
- Chartered or working toward chartership
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A degree in Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong consultancy experience
- Experience leading fire strategy projects
- Strong knowledge of ADB, BS 9999 and BS 7974
- Experience with residential and commercial schemes
- Chartered status or working towards it would be advantageous
- Testifying experience or working towards this level
