Job Description: Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate - Fire Extinguishers

We are looking for a Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate - Fire Extinguishers who will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of Fire Systems assets mainly - Fire Extinguishers on the Trackside environment. You could be someone with an electrical background 18th edition looking for a new challenge or have previous Fire systems experience.
What you’ll do:
- Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate - Fire Extinguishers will be working within a Trackside environment.
- You’ll be working on a permanent night shift Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am pattern in all weather.
- You’ll be working as part of a team and completing tasks individually as well.
- You will ensure you always work safely.
- There will be a great deal of travel from station to station, so it is imperative that you have a full driver’s license.

Who you are:
- You will have either some electrical experience ideally 18th Edition or City and Guilds and be looking for an opportunity to develop on this experience of a candidate who has had some exposure to fire systems and keen to continue to develop.
Key Requirements:
- Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or your line manager.
- Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule.
- Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues.
- Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of Fire extinguishers or previous electrical experience is required for system maintenance procedures relating to the specific contract you are aligned too - Fire Systems within Rail.
- Must have a driving licence.
- Happy to take part in a drug and alcohol test as you will be working trackside.
- Comply with relevant QEHS requirements.
