A well-established fire safety specialist is looking for an experienced Fire Extinguisher Technician to join their growing team covering Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
The successful Fire Extinguisher Technician will have a minimum of 4 years' experience within the fire extinguisher industry and will be confident carrying out servicing, maintenance, installation and remedial works across a range of commercial sites.
The Fire Extinguisher Technician's Role
The Fire Extinguisher Technician will be responsible for:
- Servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers in line with BS 5306
- Installing and commissioning new fire extinguishers
- Completing extinguisher surveys and identifying remedial requirements
- Advising clients on suitable extinguisher types and positioning
- Completing service reports and relevant compliance documentation
- Managing their own diary and travelling across Birmingham and surrounding areas
- Providing a professional service to commercial clients

The Fire Extinguisher Technician
The successful Fire Extinguisher Technician will ideally have:
- A minimum of 4 years' fire extinguisher servicing experience
- BAFE or equivalent recognised extinguisher training
- Strong knowledge of BS 5306
- Experience working across commercial environments
- A full UK driving licence
- Good customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload
