Role Description
The Fire Protection Engineer will support facilities across the London Area, United Kingdom, in an on-site, contract capacity. This role involves designing, reviewing, and maintaining fire protection systems, including fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems in a variety of building types. - Conducting site inspections
- Performing risk assessments

The engineer will collaborate with facility managers, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure that fire protection measures are properly installed, tested, and maintained. The role also includes:
- Responding to fire-related technical issues
- Supporting fire alarm callouts
- Advising on improvements to life safety and fire safety practices
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Engineering, with the ability to design and review fire protection solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Fire Safety and Life Safety principles, including risk assessment and code compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Fire Suppression Systems, including inspection, testing, maintenance, and performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with UK and international fire and building regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in facilities, building services, or property management environments, ideally within the London Area or wider UK.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certifications in fire engineering or safety (e.g., membership in relevant professional bodies) are an advantage.
