Fire Protection Engineer

As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing fire protection systems and fire safety compliance across sites within the assigned region. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of facilities by driving inspection programs, corrective actions, training initiatives, and continuous improvement in fire safety management.

You Will

  • Oversee and inspect fire protection systems and facilities across sites within the assigned region, and drive service providers or operators to complete corrective actions and achieve full closure of identified issues.
  • Develop and review regional fire safety inspection checklists, acceptance criteria, and corrective action tracking mechanisms.
  • Deliver fire safety training to on-site personnel and organize emergency response drills.
  • Monitor and assess the fire safety compliance status of each site, and establish compliance records and periodic reporting mechanisms.
  • Supervise service providers or operators in conducting fire drills according to plan, evaluate drill effectiveness, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead the investigation and analysis of fire-related incidents within the region, and produce root cause analysis reports and preventive action plans.
  • Review fire maintenance plans, test reports, and repair proposals submitted by service providers or operators.
  • Track changes in fire safety laws, regulations, and industry standards within the assigned region, and drive timely updates and implementation of relevant standards and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Major in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in fire safety management within a large enterprise, data center, or similar environment.
  • A solid understanding of fire protection standards and technical knowledge relevant to the data center industry, including building fire protection, fire protection systems, evacuation and escape, and fire incident investigation.
  • Familiarity with applicable fire safety laws, regulations, and technical standards in the relevant country or region. Recognized fire protection certification(s) in the local country or region will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to proactively drive completion of day-to-day fire safety tasks.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred, with proficiency in Chinese considered a strong advantage.
