Job overview

UK Fire Door Training is expanding its delivery of fire risk assessment and passive fire protection training across the UK.

We are looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Stopping Trainer/Assessor to deliver high-quality training, assessment and learner support across our growing course portfolio.

The successful candidate will have substantial, current fire risk assessment experience and the technical knowledge required to deliver our Level 3 Foundation and Level 4 Intermediate Fire Risk Assessment programmes. Experience of practical fire stopping installation, inspection or surveying is strongly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional to move into a senior training role with a competitive salary, excellent development opportunities and the chance to help shape our expanding training provision.

Main responsibilities

  • Deliver face-to-face Fire Risk Assessment training, including Level 3 Foundation and Level 4 Intermediate programmes.
  • Support future Level 5 Fire Risk Assessment delivery where qualifications and competence allow.
  • Deliver practical Fire Stopping Installation and Fire Stopping Inspection/Survey training where competent and approved.
  • Assess learners’ knowledge and practical competence against relevant qualification and centre requirements.
  • Mark learner work accurately and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Support learners between course delivery and completion of their assessments.
  • Maintain accurate training, assessment and learner-progress records.
  • Review and improve presentations, activities, assessment resources and practical exercises.
  • Ensure training materials remain aligned with current legislation, statutory guidance, recognised standards and industry best practice.
  • Participate in tutor and assessor standardisation, continuing professional development and awarding-organisation activities.
  • Work constructively with internal quality assurance staff and respond to sampling and standardisation actions.
  • Help establish consistent FRA and fire stopping delivery across new UKFDT training centres.
  • Deliver occasional courses at client premises throughout the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
