Fire Risk Assessor
Experience Required
- 2+ years Fire Risk Assessment experience
- Experience undertaking Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments independently
- Exposure to residential, commercial and mixed-use premises
- Comfortable managing own workload and diary
- Working knowledge of PAS 79 and current fire safety legislation
Qualifications
- Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment
- ABBE Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment
- ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment
- IFSM, IFE or other relevant industry memberships desirable
- Working towards a higher qualification considered advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Fire Risk Assessments in line with PAS 79 and company procedures.
- Produce clear and accurate FRA reports within agreed timescales.
- Identify fire safety risks and provide practical recommendations to clients.
- Conduct site visits across residential, commercial and public sector premises.
- Maintain accurate records and assessment documentation.
- Liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and guidance.
- Manage own CPD and maintain professional competence.
- Escalate complex or high-risk findings to senior colleagues where necessary.

Skills & Knowledge
- Sound understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Knowledge of Fire Safety Act 2021 and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
- Understanding of compartmentation, means of escape, fire doors, alarm systems and emergency lighting.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Good communication and customer-facing ability.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and FRA reporting systems.

Salary
£45 -50k
