Fire Safety Advisor

We are seeking a Fire Safety Advisor to join the Estates & Facilities Directorate and support the delivery of a safe, compliant, and well-managed estate across the Trust. This role will provide specialist fire safety advice across a diverse property portfolio, including hospitals, community sites, secure services, children’s settings, offices, and prison healthcare environments.

The post holder will play an important role in helping the Trust meet its statutory fire safety duties and protect patients, staff, visitors, and service users from fire-related risks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out and maintaining fire risk assessments
  • Supporting local fire procedures and evacuation plans
  • Investigating fire incidents and alarm activations
  • Delivering fire safety training
  • Contributing to fire drills and exercises
  • Providing assurance through clear records, trend analysis, and reporting

The role will suit a confident and knowledgeable fire safety professional who can work independently, communicate clearly with clinical and non-clinical teams, and provide practical advice on fire precautions, evacuation arrangements, building works, and Trust policies. The successful candidate will need a strong understanding of fire safety legislation, healthcare fire safety guidance, and relevant technical standards, together with the ability to travel across Trust sites and work flexibly when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
