About the Role
The post holder will support the Fire Safety Manager in his duties and deputise for them in their absence.
The post holder will be responsible for day to day fire safety matters in all the Trust’s premises including any properties where staff members work.
You will be required to assist the Fire Safety Manager in managing all aspects of fire prevention, safety and training throughout the Trust. You will be responsible for providing assistance and advice to managers in all buildings occupied by The Trust to ensure that they meet their obligations under the Fire Safety Order.
Experience in fire safety training and fire risk assessments is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Fire Safety Manager to ensure that good standards of fire safety management are implemented and maintained across the large and complex estate of the Trust.
You will possess significant experience of formulating and delivering fire safety training for staff and senior managers.
You will act as a resource and liaise with managers and staff at all levels within the Trust implementing fire safety standards and initiatives. You will assist in the identification of fire safety priorities and in the overall prioritisation within the annual capital plan.
You will be required to carry out fire risk assessments, highlight and develop action plans for any areas that have not been covered.

Responsibilities
- Support the Fire Safety Manager: Deputise in their absence.
- Day-to-Day Fire Safety: Manage day-to-day fire safety matters in all Trust premises.
- Assistance and Advice: Provide assistance and advice to managers to ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Order.
- Fire Prevention and Training: Manage all aspects of fire prevention, safety, and training throughout the Trust.
- Fire Safety Training and Risk Assessments: Experience in fire safety training and fire risk assessments is essential.
- Formulating and Delivering Training: Possess significant experience in formulating and delivering fire safety training for staff and senior managers.
- Liaising and Implementing Standards: Act as a resource and liaise with managers and staff at all levels within the Trust to implement fire safety standards and initiatives.
