B&D Reside | £30,000-£45,000 | Hybrid - Barking / Sites / Home | Contract with potential to become permanent

Goodman Masson are delighted to be supporting B&D Reside with the appointment of a Fire Safety Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused professional to join B&D Reside's Fire Safety Team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of fire safety and compliance programmes across the organisation's housing portfolio.

Reporting to the Fire Safety Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating programmes of work, monitoring remedial actions, maintaining accurate compliance records and supporting the team to ensure fire safety requirements are delivered effectively and within agreed timescales.

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within fire safety, building safety, compliance or property management within a social housing environment.

The Opportunity

As Fire Safety Coordinator, you will act as a key link between the Fire Safety Team, Fire Safety Assessors, Building Safety, Compliance, Repairs, Asset Management, Housing Management, contractors and external stakeholders.

You will help ensure that fire risk assessments, inspections, remedial works and associated actions are properly coordinated, recorded and monitored.

The role combines programme coordination, compliance monitoring, data management, stakeholder engagement and administrative support, making it an important position in ensuring B&D Reside's fire safety obligations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor B&D Reside's fire safety programme of work, ensuring assessments, reviews and actions are completed and tracked.
  • Maintain accurate fire safety records, compliance information and reporting dashboards.
  • Monitor performance against fire safety programmes and escalate overdue or high-risk actions.
  • Support the quality assurance of Fire Risk Assessments and associated documentation.
  • Work closely with Fire Safety Surveyors to coordinate the delivery of fire safety works and services.
  • Support the development and implementation of plans for high-risk buildings, including interim measures where required.
  • Liaise with Building Safety, Housing Management, Compliance, Repairs, Estates, Communications and Asset Management teams.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including contractors, assessors, the Council and Fire & Rescue Service.
  • Support audits, inspections and regulatory reporting through effective record keeping and compliance monitoring.
  • Provide administrative support to the Fire Safety Team, including preparing reports and correspondence and coordinating meetings.
  • Support the delivery of resident engagement strategies, particularly across higher-risk buildings.
  • Carry out fire safety inspections and support the management and tracking of identified risks and remedial recommendations.
  • Assist with incident management and responses to fire and building safety incidents or compliance failures.
  • Support fire and building safety training and awareness sessions for residents and building users.
  • Keep up to date with changes in fire safety, building safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the overall effectiveness of fire safety management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
