Your New Company

An established social housing provider is seeking a Fire Safety Manager to join its Health & Safety team. Managing a diverse residential property portfolio, the organisation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of resident safety, regulatory compliance and risk management. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping fire safety strategy, providing technical expertise and driving continuous improvement across the housing stock.

Your New Role

As Fire Safety Manager, you will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for operational fire safety, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry best practice. Working closely with senior stakeholders, contractors and operational teams, you will lead on fire risk assessments, compliance assurance and remedial action management across a residential portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking and reviewing Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and managing associated action plans.
  • Monitoring fire safety compliance and providing assurance against legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing remedial works programmes, contractor performance and quality assurance activities.
  • Conducting fire door inspections and overseeing passive fire protection improvements.
  • Supporting resident fire safety initiatives, including Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs).
  • Investigating fire incidents, identifying lessons learned and driving preventative measures.
  • Providing technical advice, guidance and training to colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Producing compliance reports and supporting governance, audit and regulatory inspections.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
