Safety Consulting Partnership Limited provides dedicated project management and specialist support services across health, safety, fire, and asbestos requirements for a diverse client base. The company delivers services such as fire risk assessments, fire safety and compartmentation upgrades, asbestos surveys and management, and building fire safety upgrade project management. Safety Consulting specializes in high-rise residential buildings support, and offers CDM BR principal designer and support services, Gateway 2 applications, disability access PCFRA, and company safety management systems. As members of a number of professional organizations, the company maintains high professional standards and a strong focus on regulatory compliance and practical safety solutions.

Role Description

The Fire Safety Manager is a full-time role based in Bedford, with the flexibility to perform some duties from home. The role involves leading and delivering fire risk assessments, advising on fire safety upgrades, and supporting the design and implementation of fire door and compartmentation improvements across client sites. The Fire Safety Manager will manage and coordinate fire safety projects, liaise with clients and contractors, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices. The role also includes monitoring ongoing fire safety performance, participating in audits and inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement of client fire safety management systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Residential High-Rise Fire Safety and Health and Safety principles and their application within BSR building safety contexts.
  • Experience with Residential Highrise Blocks Fire Safety, and Health and Safety frameworks, integrating fire safety with broader health and safety management.
  • Relevant fire safety qualifications (e.g., Level 4 fire safety as a minimum in fire risk assessment or fire engineering certifications) and strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance.
  • Proven experience in managing fire safety projects, including coordination with clients, designers, and contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and communicate technical information to non-specialists.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is an advantage.
