Role Overview

As a Fire Safety Officer in London within the not-for-profit sector, you'll play a key role in ensuring fire safety compliance across construction projects. Your work will help maintain high safety standards, supporting the organisation in creating a safe environment for all.

Client Details

Our client is a large residential property organisation with a diverse portfolio of homes across multiple regions. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of resident safety, regulatory compliance, and asset protection, they continue to invest in their fire safety and building safety functions.

As part of an ongoing programme to strengthen fire safety assurance and governance, they are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Officer to join their specialist fire safety team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fire safety professional to support compliance, undertake inspections, provide technical advice, and work with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure residents remain safe and protected.

Description

  • Provide fire safety assurance, guidance, and technical support across a diverse residential property portfolio.
  • Support compliance with fire safety, building safety, and housing-related legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake fire safety inspections, identify risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Review fire risk assessments (FRAs), ensuring recommendations are suitable, compliant, and effectively implemented.
  • Monitor completion of actions arising from fire risk assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Support the maintenance of building safety information and safety case documentation for higher-risk buildings.
  • Provide independent oversight and professional challenge to operational teams on fire safety matters.
  • Promote a consistent and risk-based approach to fire safety management across the organisation.
  • Support assurance activities relating to planned investment, repairs, asset management, and building safety projects.
  • Review fire safety proposals and completed works to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Assess contractor competency, accreditations, and performance on fire safety-related projects.
  • Monitor routine inspection regimes, testing programmes, and maintenance activities relating to fire safety systems.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, inspection reports, and audit trails.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of fire safety policies, procedures, and assurance frameworks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
