Interim Fire Safety Surveyor (Tier 2)
MMP Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Interim Fire Safety Surveyor (Tier 2) to support fire safety compliance across a varied property portfolio. The successful candidate will undertake and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), identify and mitigate fire safety risks, and provide expert advice to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice.
£375 per day (Inside IR35) | 12-Week Initial Contract | Potential Extension
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs).
- Identify fire safety risks and recommend remedial actions.
- Carry out fire safety inspections and audits across residential and mixed-use properties.
- Monitor and verify completion of fire safety remedial works.
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and reports.
- Support regulatory inspections and audits.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
- Relevant Fire Risk Assessment qualification (Level 3, Level 4, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Fire Safety Act 2021
- Building Safety Act 2022
- Relevant British Standards, including BS 9999
- Experience producing detailed FRA reports and prioritising recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (if required for site visits).

Desirable
- Membership of IFE, IFSM, or similar professional body.
- Experience within housing, local authority, NHS, education, or wider public sector environments.
- Knowledge of passive fire protection and compartmentation.
- Experience managing fire safety remedial programmes and compliance systems.
