Fire & Security Administrator – Alarm & Service

📍 Cardiff

💰 £14 – £16 per hour

🕒 Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Hours

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Fire & Security Administrator to join a busy and growing specialist business in Cardiff.

You’ll support the day-to-day coordination of engineers, customer callouts, maintenance contracts, and alarm activations, helping keep service operations running smoothly. Previous experience within the fire, security, or alarm industry is essential for this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing fire & security maintenance contracts and customer records
  • Logging callouts and allocating jobs to engineers
  • Scheduling planned maintenance visits
  • Processing engineer job reports and paperwork
  • Logging and coordinating alarm activations
  • Managing engineer diaries, holidays, and availability
  • Processing timesheets and supporting payroll
  • Maintaining engineer training and compliance records
  • Arranging vehicle servicing and MOTs
  • Managing supplier returns and general purchasing administration
  • Handling customer emails and enquiries
  • Supporting management with day-to-day administration

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous fire & security / alarm industry experience – essential
  • Experience in a service, scheduling, or administrative role
  • Understanding of maintenance contracts, engineer callouts, and service visits
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with engineers, customers, and suppliers
  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple jobs at once
  • Good Microsoft Word, Excel, and email skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
