Devtech Security Limited is a small, established and growing fire and security company based in the Glasgow area, serving customers across Scotland.
We’re looking for an experienced Fire & Security Alarm Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of the business. You’ll work closely with the people running the company, take ownership of varied projects and have opportunities to progress as Devtech grows.
The Role
Working across commercial, industrial and domestic sites, you’ll be responsible for:
- Installing, servicing, fault-finding and commissioning fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV systems.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs, alterations and upgrades.
- Completing service, testing and commissioning documentation.
- Liaising professionally with customers and site personnel.
- Completing work in accordance with relevant British Standards and industry requirements.

Essential Skills And Experience
You must be competent to independently service, fault-find, install and commission fire alarm, intruder alarm and CCTV systems.
We’re Looking For Someone With
- Strong experience across all three disciplines, ideally gained over at least three to five years.
- Practical knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarms, commercial intruder alarms and modern IP CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of BS 5839-1 and relevant industry standards.
- The ability to work unsupervised, manage their workload and solve problems confidently.
- A professional approach, good organisational skills and pride in delivering high-quality work.
- A full UK driving licence.

- A regulated Level 3 qualification covering BS 5839-1.
- A CSCS card.
- Experience with access control systems.
