About Us
D Squared Electrical Services Ltd delivers electrical, fire, and security solutions across commercial and industrial sectors. We've built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and safety, and following several major new contract wins in our Fire & Security division, we're looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. Ideally a lead engineer however training can be provided for the right candidate.
The Role
You'll work across a varied portfolio of sites carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs, and installations — keeping fire and security systems running safely and compliantly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs across fire and security systems
- Diagnosing faults and delivering effective, compliant solutions
- Completing remedial works and installations
- Providing clear technical updates and feedback to customers
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
- On-call cover — approximately 1 week in every 3

Systems You'll Work With
- Fire Alarms: Advanced, Kentec, Toccare (training provided)
- Intruder Detection: Orisec, Pyronix, Texecom
- CCTV: HikVision, Qvis, Dahua
- Access Control: HikVision, Paxton, Videx, Bell
What We're Looking For
- At least 4 years' experience in fire and/or security engineering
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Good time management and logical fault-finding ability
- Working knowledge of IP and IT networking

- IPAF certification (training available)
- Wireless fire systems experience — ideally Hyfire or Sygno-FI (training available)
- SSSTS qualification (training available)
- Asbestos awareness certification (training available)
- AOV experience
