Fire & Security Engineer Opportunity

What You Receive For Joining Us
We're offering a competitive salary, plus overtime and door-to-door travel for this role. In addition, we offer a company vehicle (with personal use), phone, tablet, company pension, and engineer-specific benefits. This is a 40-hour per week, field-based regional role covering the Bristol area, with frequent travel and occasional attendance at our Nottingham Head Office. Accommodation and expenses will be paid when working away, and any required training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing servicing, maintenance, remedial works, and installations across fire detection systems, emergency lighting, portable fire extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
- Working on both large and small installation projects, ensuring customer requirements are understood, communicated clearly, and delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Delivering customer training and system demonstrations, educating users on the causes and implications of false alarms, and providing support as required
- Working proactively and safely on your own or as part of a team, adhering to health and safety requirements and British Standards, while participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota and telephone support schedule
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within the fire and security industry, with knowledge of relevant systems and manufacturers, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high standards
- A full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel throughout Scotland with occasional overnight stays
- Experience working with fire detection systems, emergency lighting, portable extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
- Desirable qualifications and experience including emergency lighting and extinguisher maintenance, FIA Foundation Modules, IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness, and Working at Height certifications
