About The Role

A Fire & Security Engineer is required for a full-time, permanent position based in Nottingham, with a salary between £33,000 and £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The role involves working for a reputable firm that delivers security solutions to commercial clients across the East Midlands, including a strong focus on the education sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. They will hold relevant qualifications and demonstrate strong fault-finding skills. A full driving licence is required. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer or Access Control/Security Engineer to join their friendly and professional team.

About The Role

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be carrying out the installation, servicing, and commissioning of security and life safety systems across commercial environments.

Your Work May Include

  • Access control systems
  • Automated gates and barriers
  • CCTV
  • Roller shutters
  • Intruder alarms
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Automatic doors
  • Door entry systems

Experience in at least one of these key areas is required, and full training will be provided across other disciplines. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to broaden their skill set while working for a supportive and reputable company.

  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the above-named disciplines
  • Experience with servicing, installation, or commissioning
  • A hardworking and flexible approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Own basic hand tools
  • A good standard of spoken and written English
  • Willingness to complete a DBS check, arranged by the company
