Join the Kelida Solutions Team

Kelida Solutions is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Unlike our installation engineers, who regularly work on projects across the UK, this position is predominantly Yorkshire-based, servicing and maintaining systems for customers across our local and regional client base. You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, diagnose problems and represent Kelida professionally when working directly with our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Service Engineer, your role will focus on the servicing, maintenance, testing and fault-finding of fire, security and life-safety systems. Depending on your experience, this may include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Fire alarm servicing and testing
  • Intruder alarm servicing
  • CCTV maintenance
  • Access control
  • Emergency Voice Communication Systems (EVCS)
  • Disabled WC alarm systems
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Identifying faults and recommending remedial works
  • Responding to reactive service and call-out requirements
  • Completing service documentation and certification accurately
  • Communicating directly with customers while on site
  • Supporting customers in keeping their systems maintained and compliant

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a customer-facing position, so we’re looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with a professional and helpful approach.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an engineer who is confident working independently and can diagnose and resolve faults rather than simply replacing equipment. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous fire and/or security servicing experience
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience servicing and maintaining fire and/or security systems
  • A good understanding of relevant standards and servicing requirements
  • The ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail when completing paperwork and certification
  • A professional and reliable approach
  • A full UK driving licence

Experience across multiple disciplines is advantageous, but if you have strong experience in one area and want to expand into others, we’d still like to hear from you.
