Role Description
The Fire Sprinkler Designer will work full time in a remote capacity, producing detailed sprinkler system designs and layouts using relevant CAD/BIM tools and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include:

- Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings
- Performing hydraulic calculations
- Developing coordinated 2D/3D models of fire sprinkler systems

The role involves:
- Preparing technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
The designer will collaborate closely with:
- Project managers
- Engineers
- Other stakeholders
Responsibilities also include:
- Resolving design conflicts
- Optimizing system performance
- Supporting project delivery schedules
Additional tasks include:
- Maintaining documentation
- Participating in design reviews
- Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in fire sprinkler design, including system layout, hydraulic calculations, and familiarity with relevant fire protection standards and codes.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit software and the ability to produce accurate coordinated drawings and models.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
- Relevant education or training in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, building services, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and fire protection standards (such as BS or EN standards) is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in fire protection, construction, or building services design, and professional certifications in fire safety or sprinkler design are an advantage.
