FIRE STOPPER SUPERVISOR

Reports to: Project Manager / Site Manager
Location: London & Southeast
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 DOE / Self-employed day rates available (DOE)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Fire Stopper Supervisor to oversee passive fire-protection works across our projects. You will supervise site operatives, monitor quality and compliance, coordinate daily works and ensure fire-stopping installations are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Fire Stoppers and daily site activities.
  • Inspect and sign off fire-stopping installations.
  • Oversee penetration seals, cavity barriers and Firefly systems.
  • Ensure works meet quality, safety and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain photographic and QA records.
  • Coordinate labour, materials and work areas.
  • Liaise with Project/Site Managers and other trades.
  • Identify defects and ensure remedial works are completed.

Requirements:

  • Proven fire-stopping/passive fire-protection experience.
  • Supervisory or Lead Fire Stopper experience preferred.
  • Relevant NVQ Level 2 and valid CSCS card.
  • Firefly Installer certification desirable.
  • Previous BORIS experience is essential.
  • Proven experience carrying out fire-stopping and compartmentation surveys is essential.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Good understanding of fire-safety compliance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Social housing/occupied property experience desirable.
