At Johnson Controls, we deliver innovative fire safety solutions that protect people, property, and businesses. We are looking for a Fire Systems Service Technician to join our Fire Systems team.
What You Will Do
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical technician or fire systems engineer to work across a variety of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, water mist, and gaseous fire suppression systems. The role offers variety, nationwide exposure, and the opportunity to broaden your expertise across multiple fire safety disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:
- Installing fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
- Diagnosing faults and completing remedial repairs to ensure systems remain compliant and operational.
- Working on a range of fire suppression technologies, including water mist and gaseous suppression systems.
- Conducting testing and inspections of life safety systems.
- Completing accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company, customer, and industry standards.
- Providing professional technical support and building strong customer relationships.
- Collaborating with project and service teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
What We Look For
- Experience working with fire alarm and/or fire suppression systems.
- A strong electrical background with fault-finding and troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of fire protection technologies such as gaseous suppression, water mist, sprinkler, or fire detection systems.
- FIA qualifications or other relevant fire industry certifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays.
