Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Fire Systems Sales Spitfire with a proven track record, at Defensor Life Safety Systems.
This is a rare opportunity to strengthen our sales team. The new role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities for Defensor while managing your existing relationships, and promoting Defensor’s fire detection and alarm credentials to commercial customers.
Expectations include strengthening your existing relationships with clients in example areas of electrical contractors, and bringing enquiries into the Defensor team for review and presentation.
Spearheading the awareness and sale of the full range of the latest technical innovations including Advancis WinGuard, Honeywell Gent & Notifier CLSS, Honeywell Gent & Notifier Self-Test, Lock-Down Systems.
Ongoing review of client needs should also raise awareness of the upcoming Martyn’s Law, and how this, and our products can help compliance.
Working within our close-knit team, you will be supported in preparing proposals and quotations, delivering product presentations and demonstrations, and coordinating with technical and engineering teams to ensure accurate system design and delivery.
The Fire Systems Sales professional will maintain a sales pipeline, use the current CRM, meet agreed sales targets, and provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the sales experience.

The role also includes keeping up to date with industry standards, technologies, and regulations to offer informed advice and build long-term trusted partnerships.
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial sales within fire detection & life safety systems, with strong skills in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to fire alarm and life safety systems, including system design principles and relevant standards or regulations.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with a focus on tailored solutions, long-term client partnerships, and consultative selling.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including clear written proposals, confident verbal presentations, and the ability to explain complex information in accessible terms.
- Good organizational and time management abilities to handle remote work, manage multiple opportunities, and meet deadlines and performance targets.
- Proficiency with CRM software and common office productivity tools to track activities, maintain accurate records, and report on sales performance.
- Knowledge of UK fire safety and health and safety environments is beneficial, along with familiarity with industry accreditations such as BAFE and LPS1014.
- Prior experience working with commercial clients in sectors such as electrical contractors, healthcare, education, retail, or heritage is a requirement.
- A valid driver’s license.
