FIRE TECHNICIAN
Salary: £32,084.92 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full-time position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 16:00
Location: Cheltenham
Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part-time employees), subject to achieving and maintaining clearance requirements.

About The Role
We are actively seeking a positive, organized, and proactive Fire Technician to join our dedicated Hard FM team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering vital planned and reactive maintenance across our site. This position is perfect for someone currently working in fire safety who wants to advance their skills with first-class training and corporate backing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance works for Fire Dampers and related systems.
- Maintain and service Fire Extinguishers, Passive Fire Stopping, and Smoke Management systems.
- Respond efficiently to defects, faults, and client requests to support the wider Hard FM team.
- Investigate maintenance issues with colleagues to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence.
- Utilize a handheld PDA device to manage records, track works, and complete paperwork.
- Produce simple, clear reports regarding maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure all assigned planned maintenance tasks are completed within designated durations.
- Proactively identify and log material requirements to enable smooth service delivery.
- Undertake overtime when necessary to complete intrusive or disruptive engineering tasks.
- Promote a safe, clean, and healthy working environment across all maintenance and plant areas.

Essential
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry, Ventilation, or Fire Damper Installation & Maintenance.
- Proven experience working within a commercial or industrial FM service environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office familiarity and overall IT literacy.
- A positive, organized, and proactive approach with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent team coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
